North Central

Bound by Mt. Pleasant Street and Congress Street, the community of North Central features mostly historic homes, craftsman homes, cottages, and bungalows built in the early to mid-20th century. While many of the homes have been renovated, there are still several older homes available for those who are willing to make the investment in a renovation for themselves. For those interested in properties of a more turnkey nature, a few newer homes and condos are also available in the area. This district is gaining popularity, making now a great time to invest in the future! Due to the distinct location of the North Central community, residents are within walking distance of a number of restaurants—Rutledge Cab Company, Park Café, and Moe’s Crosstown Tavern, to name a few—and the recreational opportunities provided by Hampton Park, which is perfect for families with children, active young professionals, or pet owners The downtown Charleston area is also located just five minutes away, while the King Street retail area is just a mile away. The up-and-coming area of NoMo (North Morrison) is also very close and contains a number of neighborhood gems such as Revelry Brewing and Edmund’s Oast. There’s no shortage of great restaurants and outdoor recreation in this neighborhood! Read More
