Byrnes Down

Located just minutes from downtown Charleston across the Savannah Highway, the older community of Byrnes Down features mostly smaller homes constructed in the 1940’s and 1950’s. Most of the brick cottage homes within the community range in size from 900 to 1,800 square feet, with floor plans typically offering 2 or 3 bedrooms. Despite the age of the homes, most have been renovated and boast luxurious interior features. While the Byrnes Down community does not feature any amenities of its own, it is conveniently located near to the area’s many attractions. The Charleston Peninsula is just a short walk or bike over the Ashley River Memorial Bridge, while a wide variety of shopping centers and restaurants are located along Savannah Highway. In addition, Folly Beach is just 11 miles away, while Sullivan’s Island is 12 miles away and the Isle of Palms is 17 miles away. Read More
